0. Download Handbrake (x64 Portable)

1. Add the desired file
You can drag and drop it, or via the internal menu, in both cases, it will load it to obtain its information (see quality, ratio, encoding, etc.).
/!\ Remember to update the output folder in the software settings!
2. The options
The basic settings are already really good, but I recommend the following adjustments:
- Format: MKV
- Video Codec: H.265 (x265)
-> You can also increase the number of images proposed for the cover image in the software settings (from 10 to 20 for more choices)
/!\ Remember to save your profile so you don't have to do it all over again!
3. The waiting line
If you only have one file, then you don't need to add it to the list, so you can do "Play" right away.
If you want to make several files, then you will have to add them one by one to your list, using the "Add to Queue" button, so that it will do them in order when you do "Play".
4. Plex / Roku
There is a special preset in the "Devices" menu which is optimized for these media players.
-> It depends on the CPU used for your Plex server, if it is powerful enough, this point will not be vital

1. Ajouter le fichier voulu
Vous pouvez le glisser déposer, ou via le menu interne, dans les deux cas, il le chargera pour avoir ses informations (c.f.: qualité, ratio, encodage, etc.).
/!\ Pensez à mettre à jour le dossier de sortie dans les paramètres du logiciel !
2. Les options
Les réglages de bases sont déjà vraiment bien, mais je vous conseille les ajustements suviants :
- Format : MKV
- Video Codec : H.265 (x265)
-> Vous pouvez également augmenter le nombre d'images proposé pour l'image de couverture dans les paramètres du logiciel (de 10 à 20 pour avoir davantage de choix)
/!\ Pensez à sauvegarder votre profil pour ne pas avoir tout refaire !
3. La file d'attente
Si vous n'avez qu'un seul fichier, alors vous n'avez pas besoin de l'ajouter à la liste, et vous pouvez donc faire "Play" de suite.
Si vous voulez faire plusieurs fichiers, alors vous devrez les ajouter un à un dans votre liste, grâce au bouton "Add to Queue", pour qu'il les fasse dans l'ordre lorsque vous ferez "Play".
4. Plex / Roku
Il y a un preset spécial dans le menu "Devices" qui est optimisé pour ces lecteurs multimédia.
-> Cela dépend du CPU utilisé pour votre serveur Plex, si ce dernier est suffisamment puissant, ce point ne sera pas vital
